Is Genetically Modified Soybean Toxic?

Soybean

  • Soybeans originated in Southeast Asia around 1100 BC.
  • In the 1800s soybeans were introduced in the US.
  • At first, soybeans were grown as feed for livestock. Then, scientists began to experiment and discovered that the soybean had many uses besides feed for livestock.
  • In 1996 the first genetically modified soybean was introduced to the U.S. market, by Monsanto.
  • In 2014, 90.7 million hectares of GM soy were planted worldwide.
  • In 2018, it was estimated that the US alone had 91 million acres of soybeans.
  • According to the USDA, just over 70% of the soy becomes animal feed.  Another 5% becomes biodiesel, leaving a quarter for human consumption.
  • Like most crops, soy primarily shows up in our food as oil, ground meals, starches and other processed foods.
  • The GMO soy consumed by farmed animals stay in their bodies, we get our daily intake of soy through eating the meats and dairy products coming from those animals.  (keep this factor in mind when hearing about vaccines being given to livestock – for those who refused to take the covid vaccine)
  • Soy, contains high levels of estrogen-like compounds called isoflavones, which causes the growth of cancer cells, and other male and female reproductive and organ problems.
  • In addition to the health problems found with sugars and trans fats, soy also creates inflammation for many people through gluten and dairy products.  (stay tuned for my inflammation blog)

Ingredients to look out for: Avoid all

    • Yuba (Bean curd)
    • Kinako (roasted  soybean flour)
    • Koya dofu (freeze dried tofu)
    • Okara (soy pulp)
    • Shoyu
    • Soy albumin
    • Soy concentrate
    • Soy fiber
    • Soy formula
    • Soy nuts
    • Soy nut butter
    • Soy protein concentrate
    • Soy sauce
    • Soy sprouts
    • Soya
    • Soya flour
    • Soybean granules
    • Soybean curd
    • Soybean paste
    • Supro
    • Teriyaki sauce
    • Soy Flour
    • Yaki-dofu (grilled tofu)
    • Artificial flavoring
** Keep in mind there is no more organic soy beans, because companies like monsanto have stopped farmers from growing “organic” soy.  Next time you go to a farmers market and you notice a vendor is no longer there, chances are they were told to grow the seeds given to them or they have to close down their farms or stop selling to the public.
Here are a list of health problems caused when consuming soy:
  • stomach and intestinal problems such as constipation, bloating, and nausea
  • allergic reactions involving rash, itching, and anaphylaxis
  • tiredness
  • poor thyroid function
  • breast cancer
  • rosacea, pimple, erythema, rhinophyma
  • weight gain
  • facial hair growth in women
  • interference with male testosterone levels – “man boobs”
  • reduce fertility in women
  • trigger premature puberty
  • disrupts development of fetuses and children
  • people with kidney failure who use soy products are at risk for phytoestrogens levels in the blood becoming too high
  • urinary bladder cancer
  • inflammation
  • prostate cancer
GMO soy or anything we consume that is man made by companies is harmful for us.  When scientist or chemists change the genetic DNA of something there will always be side effects.

God has made all things good.

God did not create cancer.

Always question what you are consuming.
  • Is this organic (labels and stickers have meaning.  I will explain that in another blog)
    • Where is this farm located?
    • Does the farm next door spray pesticides?
  • Does this contain soy
  • Can I pronounce these ingredient names?

An apple a day keeps the Doctor away.  Always remember we keep doctors and pharmaceuticals in business when we consume unhealthy lab made foods.

As an experiment for your health and well being try to eliminate soy from your daily diet.  Keep in mind soy is used in livestock and cosmetics.  Ingredients used on our external body will penetrate through the skin via pores which enters the blood.  In the beginning it takes some research and patience, eventually you will notice names without realizing it.
