Moving away from sin
Through the parable of the lost sheep, we come to witness the ultimate example of God’s mercy upon His creation. As sinful creatures, we are always in a fight between good and evil, and sometimes we succumb to the pleasures of evil. We must strive for excellence, and we must always try to fight evil by doing good.
God created everyone in His image and likeness, therefore even though we might commit sin on a daily basis, through His promise we are all saved, but we should always ask for God’s mercy. He leaves his 99 sheep and goes after His lost one. We sometimes fall in the category of the lost sheep, due to our actions and deeds. But, God always goes after us and doesn’t want to loose his sheep for eternity.
You might ask, what can we do to remain in his 99? Here’s the first step, and once you complete this task, everything else will fall into place. Take time to reflect on your actions, attitudes, and behaviors. Recognize the areas in your life where you have been engaging in behaviors that are considered sinful or harmful and acknowledge the need for change.
Therefore, Moving away from sin is an ongoing process. Stay committed to personal growth and spiritual development. Regularly evaluate your progress, learn from your mistakes, and continue to strive for a more virtuous and righteous way of life.
